Garlicky Ginger Stir Fry

base ingredients

  • 1 red bell pepper sliced

  • 1/2 thinly sliced red onion

  • 1 cup sugar snap peas sliced lengthwise

  • 2 cloves of garlic minced

  • other optional veggies: zucchini, broccoli, baby corn

  • Pick a protein - for this recipe, I love shrimp, steak, chicken, or tofu

sauce ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari for GF

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce

  • 1 tbsp grated ginger or 1 tsp powdered ginger

  • 1 tbsp starch (corn, tapioca, arrowroot, etc.)


instructions

  1. Cut your veggies and sauté in a pan w 1 tbsp oil

  2. While veggies are cooking, marinate protein in sauce for about 10 minutes

  3. Mix sauce and add protein into the bowl

  4. Once veggies are done cooking remove from pan and transfer to a bowl.

  5. Add protein and sauce into same pan w/o veggies.

  6. Once protein is cooked through and sauce is thickened add the veggies back in!

  7. Mix in and/or top with green onions, cilantro, and sesame seeds.

  8. Serve over a bed of rice and enjoy!
