Glazed Salmon Bowl

When I was in college, salmon bowls were my go-to weeknight dinners for probably at least a year. Salmon bowls were a perfect way to enjoy a flavorful and nutritious meal. This Glazed Salmon Bowl has omega-3-rich salmon, glazed in a sweet and spicy mix of tamari, honey, and sriracha, sits atop a bed of white rice, steamed broccoli, and crisp cabbage slaw. The addition of Gimme Seaweed Teriyaki Roasted Seaweed not only brings a savory umami kick but also delivers iodine and antioxidants, supporting thyroid function and overall health. Topped with creamy avocado and sesame seeds, this bowl is a satisfying blend of healthy fats, fiber, and essential nutrients—perfect for a balanced, nourishing meal!

ingredients

  • Salmon

  • 2 tbsp tamari, soy sauce, or coconut aminos

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp sriracha

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ cup cooked white rice

  • Handful of cooked, steamed broccoli

  • Cabbage or cabbage slaw mix

  • 1 package, Gimme Seaweed Teriyaki Roasted Seaweed Snacks, cut into strips

instructions

  1. Whisk together salmon marinade ingredients (tamari, honey, sesame oil, sriracha, garlic)

  2. Coat over fresh or frozen salmon filets. Let salmon sit at room temperature, marinating for 5 minutes. Place salmon in the air fryer, flesh side down. For frozen salmon, air fry at 400°F for 12-15 minutes. For fresh salmon, air fry at 400°F for 10-12 minutes.

  3. While salmon is cooking, assemble your bowls. I measure with my heart! Add rice as your base. Then add cooked broccoli (I steam mine in the microwave in ~4 minutes) and a handful of cabbage or cabbage slaw mix.

  4. Once your salmon is done cooking, add it to your bowl.

  5. Serve with Teriyaki Gimme Seaweed cut into strips.
